It has become more and more apparent to me that there is something that draws many of us to play a game like kickball... it is an opportunity to return to a more simpler time when you could easily make friends and the complexities of adulthood did not pollute your innocence.
We have reclaimed this pastime for our generation and with it we've introduced alcohol and a lot of socializing. Statistics show that most WAKA divisions are made from a nearly 50/50 split of men and women and due to that, there's a lot of socializing, flirting, dating and just general fun!
From time to time we need to remind ourselves of why we do this... it's to have fun! But in some cases people get a little competitive, belligerent and rowdy... none of that has any place in this division or in kickball.
Please play with the utmost respect for yourself, your teammates, your refs, the opposing team and the game. You'll have more fun and less problems if you do!
Take care,
Bruce Copeland, President
WAKA MO-Kansas City Division
The season has had it's ups and downs, but I can't imagine a more fun and unique way to meet people and have fun! I've met some of the coolest cats in Kansas City playing WAKA Kickball and I'm sure those friendships will extend way past the fall season and beyond. I'm sure others have similar stories and I'd love to hear some of them... please take a moment to post something when you get a chance. Thanks!

One week, two videos! (Apologies to the Penguins - there's only so much you can do with one camera!) PLEASE BE PATIENT -- yes, the videos are huge files, but they're worth the wait.
Be sure to click the link below the videos for pictures from the Mid-Season Party -- thanks to GMOT Guru Bruce! -- TND :)
